BATMAN
Batman, the caped crusader, has now passed
Beyond the mortal veil, but shall not die,
Since memories of his exploits long will last
And all the ravages of time defy.
So long as there’s a comic book still stashed
In some boy’s attic, and videos of shows
Still archived for re-runs, his fame will last
As Batman and the Joker come to blows.
This curtal sonnet shall memorialize
A hero for our youth, both brave and wise.
