UNFATHOMABLE

                       However that it is we came to be
                       Within the vastness of this cosmic sea
                       May lie beyond the reckoning of our ken
                       No matter the insistence of our yen.

                       The best that we may do is just suppose,
                       Hypothesizing from God’s mind arose
                       A universe or multiverse of being
                       Exceeding human fathoming or seeing.

                            Good Orderly Direction underlies
                            All this—a Source that’s infinite and wise.
