   The Universe made us.  Thank U for that!
   Good Orderly Design implicit in
   The fabric of space/time at last grew fat
   With its conception, making life begin,

   And what it did on Earth, it’s done elsewhere
   We must presume—we’re surely not unique,
   And part of our design may be to share
   What we have learned with others whom we seek.

   But with them or alone, our quest proceeds:
   We shall not rest until we’ve finally probed
   The Whole to see where every insight leads
   And all the beauteous Cosmos stands disrobed.

        What Nature from our science may conceal
        Our subtler intuition shall reveal.
