THE HUMAN KEN

   What is the scope of human consciousness?
   Is it coterminous with everything
   Throughout the universe, the cosmic ring?
   Those gifted in the mystic arts say yes:
   All things there are serve always to express
   The cosmic consciousness from which they spring,
   While all about them clouds of glory cling,
   The sight of which true mystics will confess.

   This Universe that births us still provides
   The nourishment by which our souls can grow
   Once we attune ourselves to our true source
   Where all essential sustenance resides,
   For only that way may we surely know
   Our soulful destination and our course.
