NEW DAWN

     If you think this planet spawned us, think again,
     For far beyond the compass of your ken
     A race arose, across the galaxy,
     Who travelled long to seed Earth’s destiny
     With that genetic stuff of which we’re made,
     And later when we needed to upgrade
     Our culture and advance development,
     Solicitous assistance then was sent.
     If you would know the marvelous truth revealed
     At last (erstwhile forgotten or concealed),
     Then read this chronicle and join those few
     Who comprehend in their expanded view
     That Earth in truth’s a planted colony,
     And cosmic wisdom guides our destiny.
