INTELLIGENT DESIGN

                    The substrate of all matter we call “mind,”
                    That force by which all being is designed,
                    For nothing can arise except by will
                    Intent upon some purpose to fulfill.

                    As instance of this principle, this verse
                    Is what my churning morning thoughts disburse,
                    Which by no other means could have arisen
                    And now gives substance to my airy vision.
