CONTEMPLATION

To contemplate is to move out of time
Adventuring in the realms of the sublime,

While merely sitting in a mood of calm
Summoning to troubled souls its balm,

Returning to the Cosmos’ sacred womb,
Rehearsing of what lies beyond the tomb,

An opening of the mind, a coming home,
Conversion of life’s prose into a poem.
