FOX DAY AT LAST!
Our tricksy prexy had outfoxed us all
As day by day he let the students fall
For rumor after rumor: “It’s tomorrow!”—
Which then turned false, to everybody’s sorrow.
Then came the Fox Day Cam to keep an eye,
Which even through the nighttime dark could spy
For any signs of the elusive beast,
As every day anxiety increased.
Then on this morn before the light of dawn
From tents around the flagpole on Mills lawn,
Students emerged and shook their matted locks
To watch the president escort the Fox!
Dancing then and hollering began,
As off to beaches all the students ran.
